Agency FAPESP – In the first half of 2013, some universities and research institutions in the State of São Paulo will begin to connect to a network which will be tested in experimental applications of new technologies that may define the future of the internet.

Nationally, ten other Brazilian institutions, including three of the State of São Paulo – São Paulo University (USP), Federal University of São Carlos (UFSCar) and the Center for Research and Development in Telecommunications (CPqD) – will also be integrated into another experimental network that will begin to be established in early 2013 with the same goal of São Paulo network.
